Orega will shortly commence work on an additional 4,500 sq ft of serviced office space on the ground floor of 3 Piccadilly Place in Manchester. These will adjoin Orega's meeting and conference room suite at this level and will complement the 12,000 sq ft office space on the 11th floor.

Three new clients - Harris Interactive, Bytes Technology Group and Timothy James Consulting - have between them taken a total of 53 workstations.

Recruitment consultant Timothy James Consulting has chosen Orega's business centre for its new Manchester base to complement its Bristol and London offices. It opened a 20-workstation office at 3 Piccadilly Place last month to service a huge uplift in requirements in the Northern region for senior appointments in the financial services, retail e-commerce, media & publishing and public sector markets.

Harris Interactive, the internationally renowned market research agency, is relocating from Stockport to take occupation of 25 workstations in mid-December. The US company also has offices in London and New York, as well as France, Germany, Canada and elsewhere in the US.

Bytes Software Services has signed for 8 workstations and will move from Peter House in central Manchester in early December. Part of the South African Allied Electronics Corporation (Altron), it operates from 8 locations across the UK and a base in Ireland. It specialises in software licensing and is Microsoft's largest reseller in the UK.

Commenting on his choice of office, Chris O'Connell, the eponymous founder of the recruitment consultants, says: "Having viewed 15 offices personally, the moment I walked into the Orega building at Three Piccadilly Place, I was certain I had found the right premises. The reception area was extremely professional and slick. I found the whole experience very welcoming. The quality of the offices and facilities are exceptional and the team, including Helen, Grace and Emily, are extremely helpful; nothing is too difficult for them."

In addition to these deals, one of the business centre's existing clients, Teaching Leaders, a government-funded charity in the education sector, has expanded with a further 6 workstations and a training room.

Helen Davies, Orega's business centre manager in Manchester, comments: "Activity at the business centre in the last few months has been tremendous, leading to the whole of the first phase now being filled and enabling us to start work on a second. The calibre of clients that we are attracting is testament to the prestigious location and high standard of the building, the quality of the business centre's fit-out and the service and facilities we are able to provide."

3 Piccadilly Place, owned by The Carlyle Group, sits directly opposite the entrance to Manchester Piccadilly railway station, putting Manchester Airport a 15-minute train ride away. The building has a BREEAM 'excellent' rating, making it highly energy efficient, and is part of the mixed-use Piccadilly Place complex offering a range of on-site facilities.
