Orega sponsored cyclist Chris Latham has had an intense few weeks cycling and it will be finishing tonight with the final day of The London Six Day!
This Month, Chris competed in the Tour of Abu Dhabi (October 8-10) where he took 8th place in one of the stages, from there he headed to Switzerland for the European Track Cycling Championships in Switzerland, where he gained a bronze medal in the "elimination" event. He then headed straight from Switzerland to Olympic Park for the London Six Day.
Chris has stepped up from his under 23 category and is now in an open category racing the world's best pro cyclists and he's performing exceptionally well. Most notably his riding in the London six day (The final race is tonight from 6pm).
This is a specialist event and it's the first time it's been on in London for 30 years. The event is massive in continental Europe and it is extremely rare for a rider pairing to get anywhere near the podium in their debut pro six day. But that is exactly what Latham and partner Ollie Wood have done!
Remarkably they have not only won a lot of the individual events but as of day three - they were top of the overall leader board.
Go for gold tonight Chris!
